2024 Summer Bar Conference
Attorney Samantha Baker recently attended the 2024 Summer Bar Conference in beautiful Bar Harbor, hosted by the Maine State Bar Association (MSBA). As the District 9 Governor for the MSBA, representing Penobscot County, she started the event with the MSBA Board of Governors Meeting where they had a rare opportunity to meet in person and discuss the MSBA’s goals for the remainder of the year.
The two-day conference was packed with fantastic Continuing Legal Education (CLE) sessions that were both informative and engaging. She especially appreciated the focus on attorney well-being, which is so important in the legal profession. The MSBA has made attorney well-being their emphasis of 2024.
Beyond the sessions, the conference offered opportunities to connect with fellow attorneys throughout Maine. She also had the pleasure of meeting several attorneys from out of state, some of whom attended the Bar Conference to obtain CLE credit with a goal of moving to Maine.
Overall, the Summer Bar Conference was an enriching experience that reinforced the importance of professional development, community, and attorney well-being within the legal profession.
