Steven Mogul Joins Penobscot Fly Fishers Board of Directors
Gross, Minsky & Mogul attorney Steven Mogul was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Penobscot Fly Fishers. Steven is a long time fly fisher and fly tier. He has been a member of the club since 2017, and was quickly enlisted to review and recommend updates to the organization’s by-laws.
In short, “Penobscot Fly Fishers is a Fly Fishing and 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization that promotes outdoor fishing activities and conservation.” Its activities include fishing excursions, fly tying and fly casting clinics, and an annual Fly Tying symposium, to name a few. Its biggest event is the annual Cabin Fever Reliever held every February in the Joseph L. Ferris Community Center (Brewer Auditorium). It was not lost on Steven that this event is held in the facility named for Gross, Minsky & Mogul attorney Joe Ferris.
Penobscot Fly Fishers holds a monthly meeting on the first Wednesday of each month to which the public is invited. Meetings include a meal ($15), a fly tying demonstration, a speaker and a short business meeting. The organization is on Facebook, and on the web.
According to Steven, “most important, members of the group are fun, engaging and welcoming people who love to share their passion for fly fishing.”
